Set Gears Service

Proper gear setup is essential for smooth, efficient shifting and optimal performance on the trail or road. If you're experiencing skipped gears, slow shifting, or noisy drivetrain performance, it's likely time for a Gear Set Service. Our Set Gears service ensures that your bike’s gears are properly aligned, adjusted, and fine-tuned for precise, smooth, and reliable shifts.

What’s Included in Our Set Gears Service:

  1. Complete Drivetrain Inspection
We start by thoroughly inspecting your entire drivetrain, including the front and rear derailleurs, chain, cassette, and crankset. We’ll check for wear, damage, and alignment issues that might affect your shifting performance.

  2. Cable and Housing Check
We inspect your gear cables and housing to ensure they are in good condition. If necessary, we will replace any worn or damaged cables and housing to ensure smooth and responsive shifting. We’ll also lubricate the cables to minimize friction.

       *cables and housings are excluded*

  1. Derailleur Adjustment
We adjust both the front and rear derailleurs to ensure smooth, crisp shifting. This includes tuning the limit screws to prevent the chain from overshooting the cassette or chainring, as well as adjusting the derailleur tension and fine-tuning the barrel adjusters for precise shifts.

  2. Chain and Cassette Alignment
We check that the chain is properly aligned with the cassette and chainrings. If the chain has stretched or is worn, we will advise you on a replacement. A well-aligned drivetrain is essential for smooth shifting and efficient power transfer.

  3. Fine-Tuning Shifting Performance
We fine-tune the shifting performance across all gears, ensuring that shifting is smooth, responsive, and accurate under all conditions. This may include minor tweaks to the derailleur settings, cable tension, and limit screws.

  4. Test Ride & Final Adjustments
Once the gears are set, we take your bike for a test ride to ensure everything is working as expected. We’ll adjust the gear indexing during the ride if necessary, making sure shifting is smooth in all gear ranges.

  5. Final Inspection
After completing the service, we perform a final inspection of the entire drivetrain to ensure all components are working together seamlessly.

Please Note: This service excludes the cost of any parts that may be needed.
